Magnum’s
Homecoming is my first published children’s story. Coming
soon is my second children’s story inspired by the largest
wind farm east of the Mississippi, Maple Ridge Wind Farm,
Lewis County, New York.
“Catch The Wind and Spin, Spin, Spin” illustrated by fourth graders from Lowville Academy & Central School.
As a community educator,
I have come to appreciate the art and profound life message(s) of story telling…my writing is my small contribution to that tradition.
“Children’s stories are written for adults to read to children.”
It is my desire to always express in my writing the innate goodness and connectedness of all life.
As a story teller/writer I look just beneath the surface of life to see, hear, and feel the connection or the message.

“It was so well written I felt I
was in the book watching it all happen…I really liked the
pictures they were very colorful…It taught me to care more
for the environment…You really inspired me, now I want to
grow up to write children’s books…I hope people will buy the
book, I might buy it for my sister so I can read it to
her…Your book inspires me a lot…The illustrations were
awesome and the story was great…I can’t wait to hear your
next book…I liked your book because it teaches us to
believe, also because it tells us that you should try your
best and everything will fall in its place.”

Catch the Wind and Spin, Spin,
Spin

The Fourth grade “KIDS” class
of Lowville Academy & Central School
"My dad is a wind farmer!" declares Livy with great pride in her voice and pigtails in her hair...
Catch The Wind and Spin, Spin, Spin is a delightful and educational story inspired by the Maple Ridge Wind Farm where contemporary wind turbines blend with traditional farm meadows. In rural New York State on the Tug Hill Plateau, the Maple Ridge Wind Farm "catches the wind", a natural resource, creating electricity.
